Moving Minds - December 2004
Moving Minds is an OT/PT program that supplements the preschool curriculum with developmentally appropriate activities and materials. Currently, the program is being conducted in specific city school classrooms.

Movement Tidbit
Theme - Fall
- Using construction paper or real leaves, have children rake leaves into a pile.
- Children sort leaves into piles by color.
- Path is made with tape (straight or curved) to each pile.
- Child takes a leaf and moves along tape line to the matching leaf pile with jumps, tall knee walks or rolls.

Tool of the Month
Magnetic Clip
Uses:

Picking up puzzle pieces, small objects hidden in sand/leaves/dirt, etc.

Picking up math manipulatives.
-
Use in place of clothespins.
- Use as a sequencing activity to place pictures in correct order on the back of a cabinet (e.g. pictures of sequence of pumpkins growing).
