Movement Tidbit
Theme - Winter
- Teacher make snowman pieces three circles (sml), square/rectangle (hat), triangle (nose) circles/or squares for eyes and buttons.
- Children assemble a snowman by moving the pieces one by one across the room.
- Children can move across the room by performing the following movements
- Child rides in a "sled" (laundry basket with rope).
- "Ice skating" in empty tissue boxes or each foot on a sheet of construction paper.

Uses:

Use as a sled, boat, wagon, fire truck, etc. where child pulls self across the room by pulling a thick or braided rope which it is tied to the door.

Child pulls self "hand over hand" to the other side.
One child in the basket and another child pushes him/her across the room, not using a rope.
